The Niagra Movement is formed

W.E.B. DuBois invites "race men" of different professions to Niagra Falls in Canada to create the Niagra Movement. The activists present at the four day meeting are looking for an alternative to the accomodationist policies of Booker T. Washington, and four years later many prominent members help form the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (N.A.A.C.P.).
