In the case of Morgan vs. Commonwealth of Virginia, the Supreme Court rules that the Virginia statute requiring racial segregation on buses interferes with interstate commerce, is in violation of the due process and of the equal protection clauses of the Fourteenth Amendment, and is therefore unconstitutional.
