President Johnson addresses Congress in support of a Voting Rights Bill

President Lyndon Johnson addresses a joint session of Congress and charges that "it is wrong-dead wrong-to deny any of your fellow Americans the right to vote in this country." Speaking in favor of a proposed voting rights act, Johnson ends his speech with the words of a civil rights anthem, saying, "And we shall overcome."
