ACOE ‘Words That Made America’

LC staff provide historical context and primary documents on King, the African-American struggle, and global liberation struggles to teachers embarking on ‘lesson study’, a Japanese method of curriculum development promoted by the Words That Made America program organized by Alameda County Office of Education. In July 2008, LC staff helped put together a trip to Southern civil rights historical sites for teachers involved in the WTMA program.
