Library officials consulted with The Martin Luther King Jr. Research and Education Institute at Stanford University to compile a list of books for a new children's section of the Lewis Library & Technology Center dedicated in memory of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.

The Institute’s Associate Director Tenisha Armstrong and Research Assistant David Lai welcomed junior high school students from KIPP Reach College Preparatory in Oklahoma.

A YouTube channel from Stanford made its debut Monday, featuring Oprah Winfrey's keynote speech and videos of courses such as African American History—The Modern Freedom Struggle, taught by history Professor Clayborne Carson, founding director of the Martin Luther King, Jr., Research and Education Institute.
